Trailmark
Find a trail, plan the route, and share the trip — all from your phone.
Key facts
- End-to-end product: research, design, and front-end build
- Offline-first so it works with no signal on the trail
01 The Idea
Existing hiking apps were either bloated or assumed you always had a connection. Trailmark is a focused, offline-first alternative.
Swap this for your own narrative — what you set out to do and what made it hard.
02 Design Decisions
A few principles guided the build:
- Glanceable — the most important info is readable at arm's length, mid-stride
- Offline-first — maps and routes cache automatically before you leave
- Quiet by default — no notifications unless you ask for them
